What to store in your caravan to be COVID safe
G'day Parks Ararat • Jul 27, 2020
In-state holidays are possible now since the Australian government has loosened restrictions throughout the country. Caravan accommodations have done several procedures to ensure the safety of their guests but it also helps to buy some important cleaning items to put in your caravan.

If you’re still unsure about what you want to bring, here are some ideas.

1. Disinfectants

The surfaces in your caravan may have a host of bacteria and viruses that could compromise your family’s health. When you go shopping for cleaning products, be sure to get disinfectants in spray bottles and several rags to clean surfaces easily.

It would be best that before and after your holiday in your caravan, you can request a cleaning company to perform a deep cleaning service to ensure that your caravan is totally clean and free of harmful parasites.

2. Hand Soap, Wipes & Sanitiser

Always keep several packs of soap, a container of wipes and a bottle or two of hand sanitiser inside your caravan. Most likely you’ll be cooking, cleaning and doing other activities within and around a caravan park so you’ll need to clean surfaces and your hands often.

If you’re travelling with your family, make sure to pack hand wipes and sanitiser in each of your relative’s bags.

3. Your Own Stuff

Sometimes you have existing linen and pillows in your caravan that may have been stuck inside. While it’s a good idea to have them thoroughly cleaned before you go on holiday, it’s better to set them aside and bring your own pillows, blankets and sheets instead. Avoid sharing hand towels and dishes as well.

4. Curtains

If it’s not possible for you and your family to have separate beds or rooms, install curtains or any temporary barrier between beds to encourage physical distancing even in a small space.

Physical distancing, washing your hands and cleaning surfaces are important activities to make sure that you enjoy your caravan holiday until we’ve totally eliminated COVID-19. G'day Parks Ararat, Victoria has several safety and hygiene protocols to keep you clean and away from harm during your stay. To book a stay with us, please visit our website.
